External Links for Parents/Carers
Education Scotland is the national body supporting quality and improvement in Scottish education.
Its website includes a parentzone, which can help you find out more about some of the key areas you will hear of in the course of your child’s learning including Transition, Assessment, Qualifications and Broad General Education. To see what you can do to help your child have a look at “Supporting learning at home” and “Get involved”
You can find parentzone at
Anti Bullying Links
Respect Me is Scotland's anti-bullying service. They work with all adults involved in the lives of children and young people to give them the practical skills and confidence to deal with children who are bullied and those who bully others. Some of their publications are linked below:
We realise that parents/carers are keen to access information as their children are beginning to work on the new National 3/4/5 qualifications in S4. The National Parent Forum of Scotland (NFPS) has been working hard with the Scottish Government to make resources that parents will find useful.
Careers: My World of Work is Scotland’s careers information and advice web service, which helps you explore your work, skills and learning opportunities from school right through to retirement. Get the help you need for the career you want.
